Angle Boxes & U Branch Boxes
An angle box turns the run through 90° and gives a draw-in point at the same time — usually the better detail than a plain bend, because the corner is exactly where a cable pull needs help.

Angle 2-way
Two entries at 90° on the same face. Codes AE2MRB4 (20mm) and AE3MRB4 (25mm). Use these at corners on surface runs in preference to a solid bend wherever the cable pull is long or the cable is stiff.
Branch 2-way (U box)
The U box has both entries on the same face, offset from each other, for direction changes where a standard angle box will not sit flat against the surface. Codes AE2MRB13 (20mm) and AE3MRB13 (25mm).
Angle box or bend?
A bend keeps the run sealed and is neater where nothing needs to be drawn in. An angle box costs a little more and needs a lid, but converts every corner into an access point. On a long or heavily loaded run, the angle box repays itself the first time the installation is rewired.
