Solvent cement
AEMSC is a slow-acting solvent cement formulated specifically for watertight conduit fittings. It is supplied in 237ml (AEMSC.12P, 24 per case) and 473ml (AEMSC.1P, 12 per case). The slow action is deliberate — it gives time to seat and align the fitting before the joint locks. In accordance with COSHH regulations, details of the solvent are lodged with the National Poison Centre and health and safety data sheets are available on request.
Bending springs
For cold bending 20mm and 25mm conduit. Heavy gauge springs are colour banded red at the tip; light gauge are banded white or blue. They are not interchangeable. A damaged spring will fracture or kink the conduit and then be difficult to remove, so inspect before use.
Earth terminal
The MET1 brass earthing terminal, rated 15 amp, fits the provision moulded into every box. PVC-U is an all-insulated system, so a separate earth cable is essential and the terminal is what it lands on.
Pipe cutter
IMMTPC42 cuts conduit square and clean. A square cut matters more than it sounds: an angled cut will not seat fully in a socket, and the joint will leak or pull apart.
